Design and build
With fair assessment I note that Tecno Spark 4 has been made to emulate the Camon 12 Pro, also by Tecno. But this entirely for its looks since the latter is a high-end midrange smartphone while this, a budget smartphone. Let’s see, there a slim top bezel line to allow room for the front facing flash which is to the left of the front facing camera in a dew drop notch.
You will also notice its flat chin which makes the bottom bezel. On the back you will see a triple camera setup (dual) with an LED flash separating the two lenses. You will also see the rear mounted fingerprint scanner which apparently Tecno is also putting emphases on. At the bottom corner (left) is TECNO branding with a speaker grill below it.
The best thing about the display of Tecno Spark 4 is its size, then the presentation of content. I am usually not too strict on display quality of budget phones. These are things we overlook considering the price point. It is a 6.1 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a decent 1560 x 720 pixels resolution.
I don’t think this is bad at all, certainly not. Rather for its standard display size it actually has a shows great balance. I speak in keeping with the fact that its PPI density has to deal with a rather small (by 2019 standards) surface area hence it is a good display overall.
The main camera which is located on the back is dual set up with a 13MP main lens with a supporting 2MP depth sensor. I think adding a depth sensor was a smart move by Tecno. Its selfie camera is a 5MP shooter. It is not the best in the market (and for obvious reasons we can forgive it) but again, it isn’t the worst either. For camera performance, I will give Tecno Spark 4 a score of 6/10
We are looking at an Android 9 Pie with HiOS Skin here. HiOS is TECNO’s customized theme or interface. Most if not all should appreciate the fact that this phone has the latest software update of its time installed when it was released. Again, it is a Mediatek smartphone with a MediaTek Helio A22 chipset and a 2GHz quad-core CPU
Storage and internal memory
With 32GB and 3GB RAM you can accomplish much. And using a microSD you can also unlock Spark 4’s storage potential up to 256GB. There is a dedicated slot for this, you will need not sacrifice any of your SIM slots.
3,000mAh battery is sealed within this phone and it is quite decent considering the lengths it goes. This one will last you at least a day and a half or two until next charge is required.
Tecno Spark 4 is a solid budget option. You can also navigate about this website see what other
Smartphone options are available at its price point before you make a purchase. A phone is a very personal technology device you want to get yourself the best you can at whatever price. And at this, Tecno Spark 4 is definitely worth it.
